This post is in response to my a recent blog post by my good friend Nomadic Matt. In his personal blog, he lists his goals for 2009 and ends by asking: “What are your goals for 2009?” This really got me thinking, and what better to do with my baby duty time then reflect on this question. So here are my thoughts:
2009 is a year of change for me, along with this new year came new beginnings. As a result, my goals and resolutions for 2009 will include some new beginnings:
- Find a Bible reading plan that I can stick to… or maybe just stick to a Bible reading plan (whichever comes first)
- Put the needs of my family before my own
- Get 3 IT Certifications
- Create a 5 year plan
- Launch a side business to supplement finances
- Put a plan in place to work from home more and work at an office less.
- Assist my wife in streamlining her business operations (which will make more time for the twins!)
- Become an online missionary
- Streamline my time on the internet
- Learn a Content Management System (Either Drupal or Joomla)
I’m decent a making lists, not so great at crossing things off, so the overarching goal will be to get through this list in 2009!
